In a section titled Learning Outcomes 5 and 6, comment on what the chosen Significant Writing Project shows about your ability to cite sources using MLA guidelines and to make local revisions to address your typical errors. You will likely draw from the ways your class has discussed sentence errors and MLA. Be sure to include specific examples (about 150-450 words).
Attached below is a short powerpoint explaining MLA formatting.
I learned how to properly use MLA by looking at a few different sources for my paper. It is really easy to just quote someone and say that it was from there paper but it is another thing to properly cite the sources and give full credit to an author. For example, a source I used was located in a paper about the integration of arts into school. The paper was written by Goering and Strayhorn in 2016 but the quote that I used happened to be from a paper from another paper written by Silverstein and Layen. I had to make that distinction and give full credit to both the source material and then the article that I read through and how it was used in that context. MLA format is something I have practiced since 6th grade but it is always important to keep practicing this skill because it is not something you can avoid while writing an academic paper.
